Research Interests:
I am an assistant professor in the Department of Economics and International Business at Sam Houston State University. My major research area is environmental economics. My current research involves empirically analyzing the effectiveness of environmental policies. Recently I am working on evaluating the long-run effects of the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) High Priority Violation Policy on compliance of facilities that have the most serious violations. I am also interested in other topics in environmental economics in general. In terms of the studies of invasive species, I am interested in applying economics concepts to evaluate and estimate the economic impacts of such invasive species.
