Research Interests:
Research interest: Applied Geographic Information Systems. Diverse projects have included application of GIS to forensic anthropology, law enforcement, emergency operations management, environmental mapping, watershed analysis, invasive and endangered species.
Most recent: Environmental policing, social impact, and trend analysis for Houston Police Department’s Environmental Enforcement Division. Through agreement with HPD and SHSU Criminal Justice Center, 20 years of environmental enforcement data for Harris County is being analyzed in association with Dr. Matt Nobles and Dr. Jack Hill.

- Application of GIS to the chronology of willed-body placement at the Southeast Texas Applied Forensic Science Facility
- GIS development in association with the Institute for Study of Invasive Species
- GIS development in association with the Incident Command Simulation Training Center
