Research Interests:
My research interests are driven by a desire to connect theoretical questions about animal behavior to practical conservation considerations. Studying the effects of invasive predators on native species helps understand the success of different behavioral strategies and the ability of native species to adapt or change their behavior in the face of new challenges. I am also interested in the impacts of invasive predatory species on endemic prey such as salamanders and fish. My work will also provide critical information about how the invasive Rio Grande cichlid is affecting endemic species in the San Marcos River.
