Dr. Piper

Research Interests:

I am an Economist specializing in macroeconomic growth and development.  My research is a mixture of theory and empirical work.  Additionally, I have ongoing research interests in law and economics, estimating the economic impacts of invasive species (including the red-streaked leafhopper, tiger prawn, and lion fish, among others), tax adoption, and applied econometrics.  I utilize a mixture of classical, Bayesian, and spatial econometric techniques in my applied work.  I particularly enjoy cross-disciplinary collaborations.
